The 3 winning shapes of SIX are Triangle, Circle and Line. Each shape consists of 6 tiles. The players try to create one of the winning shapes while they try to prevent their opponent from doing so. The winner is the first player to create one of these shapes with his tiles. 356x2u

At the beginning of the game, there are two starting pieces in the middle of the playing area. Each player takes a turn to lay one of his or her pieces alongside any of the pieces that have been laid down. In order to reduce the advantage of the starting player, it is currently not possible for him to place his second piece adjacent to his first one. The first player who manages to create one of the 3 shapes of 6 tiles wins the game. It doesn’t matter if a closed Circle is empty in the center or if it contains an own or opposing tile.

If the players place all their twenty-two tiles without managing to create a winning shape, the game enters the second phase. The goal of the play (to create one of the 3 shapes) remains the same. Each player during his turn, removes one of his tiles and places it at another place of his choice.

Game pieces becoming separated from the board (isolated) by the removal of another piece are considered captured and put aside. Captured pieces can be single pieces or whole groups of pieces.



If, by removing a piece, the field is split into two groups with the same number of pieces, the player in turn can decide which group is removed. Otherwise, always the smaller group is considered captured.

The game ends if a player succeeds in completing a six-piece figure, or if a player has not enough pieces left to complete such a six-piece figure.
